Happy Holidays
As 2008 is nearing an end, 2009 is about to begin. As you all know the H.U.R.T. 100 begins the new 100 mile ultra season. For many of you it will be the first of several 100 mile attempts in the coming year, for others it might be the only attempt. In an effort to help make the beginning of the year successful for all of you out on the H.U.R.T. course, rest assured that we have gone to great lengths to make the run as easy as possible. While we cannot control the weather and the effects it may have upon the trails we can control other factors which should prove beneficial for you in your attempt of taming the course. In the coming weeks and days we will be posting updates here to serve that purpose. This will then serve as our first update.
Runner Count:
We currently have over 100 runner's entered, but we anticipate that only 100 will actually start the event. If you will not be attending the event please notify PJ
Electrolyte Drink:
The aid station will be serving Succeed Ultra as the electrolyte drink once again this year. You can view the product here Succeed
Runner Numbers:
Run numbers will be assigned on or after 1/1/2009. and posted to the accepted runner list.
Parking:
Parking at he Nature Center is very limited, please consider carpooling when possible.
Race Day Web Updates:
We will once again be updating your progress on our blog throughout the event. Once the race numbers are assigned we will update the list. Currently if you click on the race update link you will see a call for volunteers for these important communication positions for the event. If you have crew members or family members who might want to participate please contact those listed on the form.
Course Maps / Driving Maps:
Please print your own maps from the links on the blog as they will not be made available at check in this year. Although the course will be flagged with surveyor tape, the tape has been known to disappear during the course of the event.

The bags are likely to get wet (it always rains at night here). We will not be responsible for lost bags or for returning bags that are left at the finish line. Bags we be returned from the aid stations to the start finish line. Please retrieve them prior to 6 p.m. on Sunday night.
