Aloha Athletes and Happy New Year!
For those running, pacing, and volunteering at the HURT 100 we are a mere 10 days away!
We are planning to run a reverse Trek loop (~10 miles) at an easy pace this Saturday 1/11 starting at 7:00 a.m. from the Nature Center. Invite your pacer's and let's get a bunch of people out there. In years past, we have even had some early arrivals from the mainland join us.
If you can't make it, Mark Speck will also be taking some pacers and patrollers out this Fri, 1/10, evening for some night ops from 6:30 - 8:30. It will be a short out and back from Paradise Park to the beginning of JAG and back. About 2hrs to test night equipment and nighttime trail orientation. We will meet on Manoa Rd on the righthand side after the last bus stop.
We are looking forward to seeing all our visiting friends and H.U.R.T. ohana!
Rosie
Aloha Athletes and Happy New Year! OK, we are down to the wire here for those running, pacing, and volunteering at the HURT 100. I wrote the RD this morning and asked him why he chose the dryest month of the year to hold the race as it again looks as if the trails will be dried out by race day. (P.S. He hasn't responded) We are planning to run a reverse Trek loop at an easy pace this Saturday starting at 7:00 a.m. from the Nature Center. I've enjoyed doing this run with you the last two years, but I won't be there in time (arriving that afternoon from California), and I won't be running in general this year. I will see everyone at Makiki for about 12 hours during the race, though!

Wish I could make it out to join everyone!! We land on Wednesday next week. I'm pretty sure we're going to do a quick Hogsback to Pauoa (white) and back via Pipes (orange) in the late afternoon (2:00 or 3:00ish) right after we land if anyone is interested!!!
Thanks for using my picture, Rosie! I'm flattered!!!!
Can't wait to see you all in just over a week!!!!
All Day!
