Aloha Runners,
PJ, John, and I are pleased to invite you all to the first annual H.U.R.T. 100 Selection Saturday Show. The event will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Huff house in Moanalua Valley.
During the event, you will witness the selection of the 2011 field of runners for the H.U.R.T. 100 as they are selected one by one by the computer. You might even be asked to hit the "return" key to make the next selection. It promises to be a fun filled afternoon with friends and family. You are encouraged to come join the fun and be part of the excitement for those lucky enough to get one of the @ 125 slots. For those not so fortunate we ask that you refrain from crying, as crying is not allowed in ultrarunning, or at the H.U.R.T.
We are planning a potluck, so bring your favorite dish. We will be providing burgers (beef and I will look into veggie burgers) on the barbie, along with cold soda and water. For those who need alcohol I will have some beer available, but I will not have wine.
Date: 8/7/10
Time: 1 p.m. (HST), Lottery to start at 2 p.m. (HST). Ending should be around 4 p.m.
Place: Huff's (1639 Ala Makani Place)

We live at the end of a culde-sac up a long drive. If you park in the drive you are likely to get blocked, but if you don't mind go for it. There should be street parking throughout the neighborhood. I don't know how many folks are coming so we are just going to go with it and have a good time.
For our mainland runners who cannot make the flight over for the selection show, we will have a link so you can see the selection process of runners as it progresses. Same applies to those living in Hawaii who are anti social.
